Károly Halmos at the Festive Book Week!

Károly Halmos, member of our research group and the MTA-BTK Lendület Political Economy Research Group of Hungarian Literature, dedicated the book Costs and Poetry. The Economic and Social History of Ideas during the Festive Book Week. In the collected volume published by L’Harmattan, our colleague explores, among other things, the usefulness of literary texts in examining the activities of capitalist entrepreneurs, what the concepts of “bourgeoisification” and “capitalism” meant in Hungary, or how much Thomas Mann earned with his novel Buddenbrooks.
