Barbara PAPP, member of our research group, recently published Psychotherapists in the Kádár Era. Life History and Psychotherapy!

From the blurb. The main source of research is the author's historical interviews with psychotherapists: lived life, everyday experiences, with the authenticity of personal sources, lead us into the rebirth of a profession. The semi-structured interviews with therapists focus on career and professional history, the relationship between the system and the profession, and personal histories of profession and vocations, including family background. In addition to the interviews, archival documents, memoirs and contemporary press articles help to understand what the profession was like in the everyday life of the Kádár era.
